Building this page can be very time consuming. We had hoped to be able to just share the wishlists but the stores don't make it that simple. Until we can get this done right we will provide a mess of a list on this page.

We ALWAYS need fresh produce, layer and dog food.
Right now we are very soon going to need feed for the Macaws
(They can NOT eat a seed diet and need Mazuri large parrot food - per the VET. link below somewhere....), ferret food, tortoise food and kangaroo food.
The stuff from Chewy...
FEED:
Grass Hay: Bermuda, orchard grass, timothy hay etc. Sheep can eat hay that’s a little dried out but others (especially kangaroo) have to have soft hay.
Fresh Produce:
Mostly zucchini, squash, carrots, cucumbers, romaine lettuce.
Limited fruit as it's too much sugar but good for treat and watermelon helps keep them hydrated in summer.
Easier to list things they can't eat...
no spinach.
Sugar gliders get avocado but very little and they're the only ones that can eat it.
Potatoes have to be cooked and really aren't good for them but we do cook and give to them when we have it.
Fruits with pits have to be pitted and that can take a lot of time. We do pit them and give to them but fruit needs to be in moderation anyway.
No broccoli (but if it's good I'll take it lol) or "head" lettuce like iceberg.
No green tomatoes or the vines from any tomatoes (yeah we can pull the tomatoes off). Pretty much no citrus but some can have a little most can't have any.
Two feeds we go through the most of: layer and dog food.

Emu/Ostrich ->
Emu do good on layer outside breeding season and ostrich needs to be mostly alfalfa based (They can’t eat the alfalfa hay as it gets stuck in their throat).
Both are supplemented with Ratite Breeder during their respective breeding seasons.

They mostly eat plain boiled and shredded chicken (boneless/skinless breast... a little goes a long way),
plain unsweetened yogurt with active cultures, quick oatmeal and
frozen (thawed) veggies - sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, lima beans, green beans,
sweet cherries (one cherry between all of them a day) or other "treat" (peaches, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries).

We will eventually need an automatic gate opener to put on the gate that divides the ostrich pen so nobody has to go in to manually open and close it.
I was plan on buying it when taxes came in but that was too late as that's around the beginning of breeding season
and it's going to have to be installed with him on one side or the other...
I'm sure I forgot some but we will keep it updated.
